Polypropylene

Polypropylene

Polypropylene was discovered in 1954 and quickly became very popular. It is a polyolefin material known for its versatility across many industries, and it provides balanced properties for thermoforming applications where durability and chemical resistance are important. It is one of the lightest plastics available, and it also meets FDA and USDA guidelines for its moisture resistance. These qualities make polypropylene a very sought-after solution for many day-to-day and industrial applications.

This polymer is easily welded and machined while maintaining acid and abrasion resistance. It is the most commonly used thermoplastics in the world.

Property Polypropylene Units Test Method ISO Value
