temaglass - pmma

TemaGlass

PMMA (polymethacrylate)

Half the weight of glass but many times stronger, PMMA became prominent during World War II for aircraft glazing. This polymer is widely used in lighting fixtures because it is both slow-burning and self-extinguishing and does not produce harmful smoke or gases when burning.

PMMA is available in powder or casting syrup and is known for its exceptional clarity and optical properties.

Property PMMA   Units Test Method ISO Value
